Jameos Del Agua – Lanzarote
Explore the breathtaking Jameos del Agua. A 6km long collapsed lava tube that was converted into an underground auditorium and nightclub by Lanzarote´s favourite son, the artist César Manrique, back in the 1960´s.
Along with beautifully planted tropical gardens and a sea water lagoon the Jameos is also home to species of blind albino crab that sparkles in the water like jewels. Along with a seriously sumptuous swimming pool that is apparently reserved for the sole use of the King of Spain.
The Jameos is located in the north of the island close to the village of Punta Mujeres and is open daily from 10.00 to 18.30. Admission is €8 for adults and €4 for children.
